676.06 Miles
Timberline Trailcraft has curated 676.06 miles of trails from 1988 to 2019. From public to private land, people use these trails for mountain biking, hiking, running, horseback riding and a variety of other activities.
Shortest Trail
One of the shortest trails that Timberline has completed is Little Bear. Located in Cheyenne Mountain State Park, it spans 508 feet. It has a -37 foot descent and takes an average time of 00:00:26 to complete. Completed in 2003, this singletrack trail is open for mountain biking, hiking and trail running in either direction.
On Location
The majority of projects are located throughout Colorado, however Timberline has built a wide variety of trails in different parts of the country. Including thirteen of the states, TrailCraft has also worked in areas such as New South Wales, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Saskatchewan and South Australia. 2012 took crews to Tennessee, Alabama, Melrose, North Carolina, New Mexico, Kowloon and Hornsby.
Longest Trail
The longest stretch of trail that Timberline TrailCraft has worked on is the Breaks at Bar-H. Completed in 1997, it’s 21 miles with 1-4 mile loops.
Bayou Gulch at Two Bridges
This space is available to equestrians, pedestrians, mountain biking and snowshoeing. It’s a total of 10.4 miles with multiple loops.
The Incline
Originally a narrow gauge funicular railway, the Manitou Incline (also known as just the Incline), is 2,744 steps in .88 miles. Timberline TrailCraft finished restoration of the Incline in 2017. Bringing in helicopters and work crews, damaged ties were replaced, a cabling system was installed to prevent future movement and precautions were taken to avoid erosion.
